    2020 VISION: Vision Board Masterclass

I’m super excited to announce that I’ll be hosting a 2020 Vision: Vision Board Masterclass in 2 weeks!!! This Masterclass is designed to teach you the secrets to creating vision boards that actually work. This is NOT vision board party, nor is it a basic class telling you to just cut magazines and paste pictures on posterboard. We will be doing pre-work for the 2 weeks leading up to the class. If you’ve ever done a vision board and wondered why not much (if anything) manifests, then THIS is the Masterclass for you. This is a VIRTUAL Masterclass hosted in a private online space so you can join from anywhere.…

7 Life Lessons I Got From 1 Critical Comment

So the other day, I got a comment on one of my live videos over on YouTube.  The comment said something to the effect of my layout was nice, but other YouTubers could do it in 10 to 15 minutes.  Wait, what? I was almost offended by the comment, but then I had to take a step back and think about it for a second.  It really was an unfair and nonequivalent comparison, not only because I am different and unique (as each of us are), but also because the video she was watching was different from those she was comparing it to. In her short comment, I found so many…

Start Where You Are With What You Have

Yesterday, someone asked what I recommend to get started with journaling or planning, particularly for mental health.  I thought I'd share my answer with you here. Start where you are.  Use what you have.  It really doesn't take a lot to get started.  Just a pen and paper is really all you need.  Everything else is extra.  I mean, I love me some stickers and washi, but the truth is that all of that is extra.  The goal of journaling is to get your thoughts out, and the goal of planning is to get your plans down. What do you do with that blank piece of paper?  I'm glad you asked. …

    Happy Veterans Day!

Happy Veterans Day, y'all!!  I'm proud to have served in the United States Navy.  I honor and thank every one of you who has served, as well as those who are part of a military family. So, since it's Veterans Day and when most people think of military and mental illness, they think PTSD, I think it's only right for us to talk about PTSD today.  I'm not talking specifically about PTSD as a result of war, just PTSD in general. What is PTSD?  PTSD is Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.  It's defined as "a disorder in which a person has difficulty recovering after experiencing or witnessing a terrifying event."  People who…

How I Use Planners To Manage My Mental Health

So... now that we've gotten that big fat scary first blog post out of the way, I think I can do this.  So let me jump right on out and say this.  I have Bipolar Disorder.  That's right.  I said it.  I have Bipolar Disorder and I'm not ashamed of it. Actually, getting the correct diagnosis and treatment was the biggest breath of fresh air.  Knowing the "problem" meant that I could solve it.  It meant that it could be treated with medication, and managed. One day, I'll write about how I was diagnosed, symptoms, and all that.  But for now I want to talk about planners because.... well, because…

Okay This Is New… My First Blog Post

Welp.... here goes.  It's my first blog post.  I'm always down to try something new (within reason) and I've always wanted to blog, but I was intimidated.  Well fear thought it had me on the mat, but I got up, brushed myself off, and body-slammed that b***h.  Now it's: Me - 1 Fear - 0 Okay, so not really.  I can't tell you how many times fear has kicked my butt.  That should tell you that it's too many to count.  But THIS time, THIS experience is the one that counts right now. See, there was a time when I let fear (and it's cousins dread, shame, and anxiety) control…
